| I'm pretty sure all of you have heard of this Gothic/industialrock opera band/project...
In April a remix/alternate arrangement of the song LEGEND I:I/THE LAMB will be free for download on the official website... This song is part of a Special Edition CD with remixes and alternate arrangements of songs of the first installment of the LEGEND trilogy... This cd set is limited to 300 pieces, yet still in stock if you're lucky...

| I am looking forward to the new release. Their music is pretty groundbreaking and intense, yet their is something about it that keeps me from listening all that much. | |

| It's pretty emotionally intense... It's probably been my greatest musical inspiration... Still no day passes without having listenend to (some of) Clayton's work...

| Great song writer and writer in general, but he could do with some better musicians, imo. | |

| Ah, they're really not bad. They just don't get much time to show it. It's about the music as a whole instead of the individual instruments. | |

| true, at some points there is just not enough focus on the instruments for me. | |

| I don't get what you mean...
It's composed in such a great way, I cannot name Clayton's equal...
Saviour Machine is not about showing off technical expertise, but about creating emotional atmosphere... They succeed as no one else... Their use of samples is beyond brilliance, in my opinion... |

| Emotionally this might be top notch music, vocalwise he is one of a kind, and he composed his music in a most interesting way, and takes his time to create something beautiful,
but I just would like to hear some more focus on drums or guitars from time to time, although it might happen that when he does, that I don't like it, we can't know for sure.
I like Virgin Black more than SM for that. Although they aren't really THAT comparable, It might just be the fact that I'm too much into Death Metal.

| Metalheads often compare SaMa falsely to metal-like music... It was never intended that way... Clayton does never use a guitar just for the sake of it, but only if it fits into the very atmosphere he's trying to create... Unlike VB who are in principle a doom metal band... |

| I actually see both sides of this. While I love Saviour Machine's music, and when it comes down to it, I cannot think of a single way in which he could improve it, sometimes I do want to hear a bit of the guitar work a bit more clearly. | |

| Saviour Machine to me seems to be the most mislabeled band out there. I can definitely see how someone could decide to call them straight "gothic metal," but I think if one goes into their music expecting "metal," they'll be disappointed. | |

| Very true. The metal is more of an influence than an element of the music. | |

| Discribing SaMa would be hard... There is a fast fundation of Goth music... Both in the Legend as in the Pre-legend... Pre-legend slants more towards old school Goth (the Cure), I'd say, while LEGEND is more like 69 eyes and Type O... Then LEGEND Part II (and also I) have a pretty strong industrial influence... Then there's some dark ambient, and LPIII:I has a more prog rock approach (letting the Goth feeling a bit down in my opinion...)... Then there is much influence from classical composers and soundtracks... One of you guys ever heard the Remix of New World Order (released in 2007 as a limited pressing (300))? It's wicked... Goth/Opera Rock would fit, but does not really do full justice... |

| New World Order 2007 could very well be the best SaMa song ever. I love it. | |

| I've actually talked to Eric Clayton before( some years ago) , he's lives 100 miles north of me. He actually referred to SM as Industrial when I was talking to him.. haha. One things for sure.. he doesn't look like he sounds.. he's rather short, plump and unassuming looking... and then you hear that voice! Which just rocks. haha. | |

I think you have a normal height, looking at Dutch standards. 185 centimeters is pretty common here fr guys, as far as I know... I'm 5 feet 9 inches. Does anybody kno how tall Eric is then?
