yeah i really have become keen on folk music like these, theyre just so beautiful and great influences for my compositions, in fact iv started learning the violin cause i really want to be able to play some tunes like that, anybody else like any folk music? im eager to find more bands/ projects to listen to.

Hey I also started playing the violin, great job!
And about folk. I love it. Bands like Rapalje are allways enjoyable to listen.

Celtic, Irish, Scottisch Folk Music. Folk metal. etc.

Rapalje, indeed is great. I love them!

I seem to enjoy 'folk' from allover the world.
not just the bagpipe/flute folk, but also stuff from the middle east for example.

Yes, Maire has good music too. And unlike Enya, it's Christian. Maire is also the lead singer for Clannad.
