| I figured since there is a beer thread, there might as well be a mead thread.
I started brewing a 5 gallong batch last night. I used 10lbs local honey, 6 cinnamon sticks, some dry mead yeast i got at the grow and brew store..
anyway, boiled the honey long enough to scrape some impurities (it was unpasteurized honey) mixed them all together in my bucket and it will sit there for 6 weeks...
I am going to bottle this up, thinking about getting labels made...
what do you think of "Nosral" as a sort of brand name?

| Dude !!! that's sweet ! I seriously would love trying that beer, but I guess it's pretty much impossible for me to ever try that.
Nosral would be a sweet name IMO, sounds fairly metal, yet not too metal.

you can make it fairly easy, just make sure you clean everything you use first and sterilze it (soak for 20 minutes with bleach water or something) but like take some honey, some water and some yeast (I have even used bread yeast before) and keep it in a fairly warm place it should work great. it takes a few weeks (like 10 or so) before its really drinkable, but its a fun drink, its homemade and a cool thing to talk about iwth your friends.
