Band HOPE was formed in the summer of the year 2001. as a counter balance of expansion of black metal, both musically and lyrically. Music roots of the band can be found in the thrash metal of 1980s and death metal of early 1990s.

After few months of rehearsing , in May 2002, band releases self-titled rehearsal demo, with 8 songs.

In May of the next year new material „More than words“ was recorded. Worldwide distribution handled „Nordic mission“ from Norway. After almost whole year of putting Hope on ice for personal reasons of each members individual, Hope gather up and started to rehearsing again. The result is a new material entitled „The light of the salvation“. Material consist 9 songs in thrash/death style and is conceptual. It's about a metamorphosis of a person, from an unbeliever to a person who has found Jesus and faith. This was a long journey for him and we follow this path that he takes through songs. From his emotional and spiritual crash (Silver Gods), his doubts in Jesus (Just a Fantasy?) 'till his rebirth as a believer (Ad Aeternam).

The reviews were mostly good „Cause super is “Light Of The Salvation” in any way. Easily accessible songs with melodic riffs, but enough power and heaviness to enthuse“ … the metal observer, „…In no more than 36 minutes we can jump into the past, when thrash speed was the most extreme and nonconformist genre of worldwide metal scene…“ Holy steel e-zine).

Today after few line up changes HOPE is harder than ever, releasing a new cd „Battle within“ with 12 new songs of thrash metal. Right now Hope is looking for a distributors or possibly a publisher, and rehearsing for a new material
