PostSubject: To much metalcore and subgenres in the Christian metalground   To much metalcore and subgenres in the Christian metalground EmptyTue May 20, 2008 10:46 am

I think there are to much bands in the metalcore scene, it will be difficult to create a own sound. Because there are so much good metalcore bands. For Example: As i lay Dying, August Burns Red, HAste the Day, Still Remains (bit), Destroy the Runner, As Blood Runs Back, Impending Doom and more

I hope that that in the future more other genres band will fit like Doom, Power, Heavy, Black, Death , Metalcore´s in the Christian metalground main relation is the Gothenburg scene i think

Maybe i want to start a christian band, there are many christian metal fans in my city or in the near, i love to sing black or folk, or death growls because then i get lost of my emotions Very Happy

cool, i also want a christian metal band....i've tried it, but it didn't work out really good...
and my music writing is not so good...i only can write the lyrics Razz that was another point why the band is dead now...no one in the band knew how to write music Sad

and i like to do some grunts! (and i play saxophone, but that's really difficult in metal)

I also play the saxophone !! :p
(for 12 years now, although the last year has been quite inactive).

There are quite some metalcore bands yes, and sometimes I discover a nice band,
I'm glad the ones who like metalcore and hardcore have a lot to chose from.

More death metal would be nice though ;-)

lol im playing bugle, a kind of trumpet

nah melodic death plz, pure Death metal is not my favorite style even as black metal give me more melodies in the music and its fine.. Nile has some good songs, black seeds of vengeance is nice

do you listen to secular/satanic bands Matt black and death, do you listen bands like dimmu borgir, gorgoroth, vital remains, that kind bands ?

wanna know how you think about these bands, personally i have one song of dimmu and its the serpentine offering, it means offering satan, the snake is in the bible satan so then my thoughts are thinking hmm its not so good
but i have to say, its a great song and sometimes thats more important then lyrics

Yeah, IMO there are too much metalcore bands. And that is too bad, but I guess we'll just have to accept it and hope for more (melodic) Death/black. Wink

If you don't want to listen the music, just don't check it out :p

@ Ton, no I don't, I listen to christian music most of the time and will make some exceptions,
but these are rare. Although I won't listen satanic music

I only play alt.

I used to play in a gospel team, but since I left that church I don't play there anymore,
at this point I'm not doing anything with it.
