My computer f'ed up

So, I shutted down my computer yesterday evening,
nothing seemed wrong.

I start my computer today, and it's all messed up,
it doesn't recognise memory sticks, usb devices except for mouse and keyboard,
it is not able to get internet connection, and my layout was totally screwed.

luckily I was able to burn quite some stuff on cd's
and I transferred it all to my laptop,

so it seems I'm using my laptop from now on.

That's odd....Hopefully it will be fixed soon!

I hope it does, but I don't have my hopes up too high.
At least I am still able to use my laptop

Maybe a virus got you?

that sucks. =D
my internet wasn't working anymore for a couple of days
but I called ze people and now it's working again. =D

seems that after messing around with it a whole lot today
and trying several things it is back up and working.

I seriously have NO idea what the problem was,
I just hope it doesn't happen again.

what virus-scanner do you use?

looking at the problems, I would assume your motherboard didn't contact the drivers (considering they're all hardware related issues), perhaps try updating drivers
