| Cool band. check them out here : www.myspace.com/monotheistmetaltheir latest blog info : - Quote :
So here we are again with another update after a lengthy silence on our part.
First, I would like to officially introduce our new vocalist, JJ, otherwise known as Shiv The Impaler! He's a passionate kid with a great set of pipes who will contribute a lot vocally and lyricwise to Monotheist in the future.
And as for our former vocalist Jake Rice, he had to move to Chicago pretty suddenly for a job opportunity and could no longer be in the band. But we all wish him the best in whatever he does and we thank him for his contributions to the band.
Unfortunately, things have been really slow for the band (like usual). The search for the proper drummer continues and writing has been very minimal (although theres only one more song left to write for what will be the next release).
The members have been busy with other things in their lives, including side projects. Personally, I've started up a thrash side project which I figure would be easier to find a drummer for than for Monotheist. I already have one song done and bunches of ideas for more so the plan is to start playing shows relatively soon. I'm praying that through this i will be able to network with other people and find the proper drummer for Monotheist, as thats where my passion lies the most. But for now, this yet-to-be-named thrash project is my priority and im excited to have some fun playing balls out thrash (with a hint of old school death metal). Expect to hear some tunes from that shortly.
Isa is doing a side project that mixes celtic folk influences with modern rock and metal. I will be helping her out on that.
Izzy is doing his own metal project as he finds time to work on it.
We arent really on a hiatus or anything, its just slow right now but we still plan to move things forward as much as possible. Even if we dont find a live drummer soon, I plan to have the band go into the studio when the songs are done and use a session drummer.
So thats whats goin on, and, as always, I will update you all if anything new and worthwhile surfaces.
Until then,
God bless you all,

| I liked the older vocals more. Still have the first version of Beheaded Azazel which is amazing. | |
