All Boards should have a poetry thread too Smile
So lets share our Most Deepest Deep in here! Wink Ey! pirat

*Marked Tears* 1/3-2008

Heavy tears falling
down from my weary eyes
Making scars down my cheeks
burning my sensitive skin.

My body shivering
opening painful wounds.
From deep within my heart.

Fool of Spring

She told herself she was born in winter and made of snow.
Skin of ice, with a heart so cold.
‘Liar’ a voice in darkness said.
‘You were born in Spring, close to Summer.
Your voice sounds like a bird and you smell like a flower’
‘I’m cold, lonely and I want to hide.
Under frostbitten lakes, close to the riverside’
‘Than hide, fool of Spring, and don’t you ever return!
For whoever wants to be a Winter child shall melt in the Eye of Summer’

At The Mystic Place Of Fear

At mystic fields. Where fog is covering the ground. A wanderer is going into the forest of fear. He is listening but there is no one sound. Something evil is living there. The moonlight is shining bright at the darken sky. He comes to kill and his honor will grow high. No nightbirds are singing here. Quiet have to be the place of fear. The wanderer in the forest fight well, but he is listening the bell. Dragonfire burns the snow. He cannot break the storm. Screams are moving in the night. Now it’s the time of mourn. Dying he is lying under the blacken sky. The crimson moonlight upon the fields is telling his wife what happened and she cries. Now he is dead. The mystic fields are quiet again. Will come someone else to do the same? The fog covers his body and the shadows of fear grow long in the darkness.

Great poems!
Both 'Marked Tears' and 'Fool of Spring' are really honest.
'Fool of Spring' also gives me some small recognition.
'The Mystic Place Of Fear' really is amazingly good. Hopefully you'll show us more.

I wrote this in the beginning of januari.
Sorry for all the foreign people, it's dutch.

Winterkind

De aanschouwing van een einde
De omarming van de kou
De glorie van de winter
- Slaap zacht

De realisatie van de stilte
Het aanzicht van de dood
De val van een tijdperk
- Laat los

Door weer en wind
Mijn winterkind
Jouw schaduw zal vergaan

Vaarwel mijn vrind
Oh winterkind
De lente komt er aan

I also would like to add two other poems from a dutch poet ( who is poet as proffession ) and one of the most impressive persons I have met these days.

in alle straten thuis

de geur
van de natgeregende stad
dringt binnen

in de kop van de zwerver
vermengt zich
met een zure lichaamslucht

de maag krimpt ineen
en leegt zich

op zijn stoeptegeltapijt

- Bernd Ebbo Visser

bekentenispoezie pur sang

I like Winterkind. Smile

Here a Dutch one too.. Razz

very nice poems Very Happy
here's one from me...

Discrepancy

Head
Full of sorrow
Full of thoughts
No room left

Thoughts
All in circles
Going down
Deeper still

Dark
Fast blackening
Heading towards
Eternal nothing

Light
Breaking through
Cleaning my head
Lifting up

This one is in Dutch, but perhaps you'll also like it...

Terugkeer der Lente

Boom
Groen tussen grijs
Zon
Bundel van licht
Vrolijkheid
Tussen het somber
Warmte
Komt weer terug

Since we are much into Dutch and English,
I wanted to share a poem in Norwegian about a sleepless night! Smile Razz

"Svevnlaus Natt"

I natt verkar som ei æva,
lenge til det blir lyst.
Ei svevnlaus natt,
medan eg ventar
til morgonkvist på himmelen,
blir vist.

I natt er så stille,
ingen teikn til liv og lyd.
Men i morgon,
vil alt liv vakna på ny.

Og eg vil gleda meg
over fuglesong og lys,
medan eg legg meg igjen,
i natte svevnen min.

-The Watch-

The End of time
is near
Punishment with no mercy
for the lost
Keep screaming for your life
but your shouts will drown in the dark

Watch over your
body, mind and soul
The devil goes around like a lion
looking for someone to devour

Watch over your life
If you don`t watch
You might lose it all in vain

Never say tomorrow I will
tomorrow may never come
Life is not just a game
and whatever you chose
is not the same
What we chose today
will remain for tomorrow

We`re like leaves
all of a sudden
our lives are blown away
with the wind

You reap what you sow
Sow sin
and you will gain death
Swallow lies
and you will throw up blood
Blood of those who are lost
Foreeever

We`re at war
fighting for our soul
All the lost
will fall under sword
The Son of Man
will come back
in glory and wrath

Chose today
who you want to serve
Don`t wait too long
or hope might vanish
Find Him now
when He is to be found

Watch over your life
the End is near.

nice poem!

last weekend I've written two more. I was sitting in my car, during weekend camp, without children at last, just waiting a full hour for them to arrive at my drink post... so I had time enough Razz

Quote:
Kruispunt
druk
auto's, fietsers,
waar gaan ze heen?
Allemaal een bestemming
bepalend
voor de weg die ze gaan
stoplicht
wachten en denken
is dit de weg
die goed is?
Is er geen korter
sneller
gerichter
Zo haast iedereen
door het leven
wachtend
op het doel
niet kijkend
naar dit moment
Zo haast ieder
zijn eigen doel
voorbij

Quote:
Stilte
In de nacht
Stilte
Voor de storm
Wachtend
Op onheil
Dat komt van ver.
Waar
Zal de weg ons leiden
Door het diep donkere dal
Waar wij
Geen hand voor ogen zien
Vertrouwen
Is alles
Wat ons nog rest
De hoop verdreven
Met de moed der wanhoop
Gaan wij
Door het leven
Een vooruitzicht
Wij weten nog niet wat
Maar ooit
Zal alles anders zijn
Dat is ons vertrouwen

Ik reageer maar even in het Nederlands. Wink

Zoiets bijvoorbeeld. Naja, 't is heel persoonlijk natuurlijk Razz Maar even als tip. Wink

Nou daar heb ik wat op tegen!

Ik hou zelf heel erg van een 'afgehaktezinstructuur'. Simpelweg omdat zinnen dan vaak op meerdere manieren te interpreteren zijn.

Mooie woorden Alynia

"The Crying Rose" 27/4-2008

A Rose is standing all alone,
under a dark shadowed tree.
Hanging down with her head,
in deep sorrow and despair.
Every day in the dark,
without any sunlight to see.

Hidden away from the world,
behind thorns and weed.
Searching for the sun,
to keep her warm and alive.
A fading beauty in fully prison,
not being able to fully bloom.

Heavy tears falling down,
breaking off every petals she has got left.
This wounding pain inside,
won`t let her fully blossom.
Withering under a dark shadowed tree,
all cold and alone.
Untill the last breath of life,
takes her back home.
